Axle Bearing For Mahindra Logan With Plate
CV joints are covered by rubber or plastic boots. Known as a CV boot or drive axle boot, these parts are responsible for keeping the joints lubricated and preventing dirt and water from getting in. Unfortunately, this is a part that sometimes fails.
The constant velocity or CV joints are an important part of the steering and suspension system on all front-wheel drive vehicles.
The inner CV joints connect the driveshaft do the transmission, while the outer CV joints connect the driveshaft to the wheels. These joints allow for a correct and constant transfer of torque between the transmission and the wheels.
In order to function correctly, the CV joint needs to be sealed within a boot. The CV Boot is a ribbed, rubber flexible boot that keeps water and dirt out of the joint.
It also keeps grease inside, which lubricates the CV joint and allows it to function properly. A leaking or damaged CV boot will cause the CV joint to wear prematurely due to a lack of lubrication and damage from contaminants.
Symptoms of a split Axle boot Leaking of grease, Visible damage to CV boot, Clicking noises while turning etc.
New Axle Boot Installation will prevent further damage to the CV joint.
